Viencon Summer Festival 2018 will happen! That’s three days of cosplay, anime and geek related events and parties by Deshima Sounds! Afterparty at your cottage? So, mark your calendars for a weekend of fun.
The ticket booth will open as soon as possible and will stay open until we’re sold out. The tickets include the accommodation and they are €109,- per person, excluding tourist taxes for the accommodation.
So what’s different now? Now, we will share the venue with regular visitors. We’ve discussed the following: the park will be shared and the areas for the events will be restricted to Viencon visitors only. Viencon Cottages will all be on the same area of the park so you will only see the regular visitors at the swimming pool and caterering areas.
The venue’s house rules will apply during the regular hours. For example, it is not desired to eat at the restaurants in your swimwear or take large props to the swimming pool and catering areas (so leave your mecha swimsuit version at your cottage). Photo shoots in the swimming pool during regular hours are not allowed, but we have reserved the swimming pool after the regular hours for photo shoots and Deshima Sounds! The swimming pool is well lit, so if you wish to take photos in the evening, then it should be fine.
As for the earlier cancellations, we will refund you as soon as possible. The processing is manual, so please be patient.
As you may have read on our social media, that we are looking at the option of a shared park instead of a private park. We will still have private areas at the park for our activities and timeslots of the swimming pool where you can take pictures in your cosplay, as well a pool party at night!
As we can’t deliver what we promised, a private park. You can cancel your booking by emailing us till 5th of April, your Name & Order Number.
We are sorry for this turn of events.

Considering how important cosplay photography is to Viencon, we decided that we should definitely host a Photo Competition. We would like everyone to join. Make a photograph of a cosplayer during the convention and enter it in the competition to win prizes.
What you have to do:
Post the cosplay photo on your instagram account
Mention @Viencon in the photo description
And tag it #VienconPhotoCompo2018
The deadline is on Saturday 1 September at 23:59 (11:59PM). It has to be taken at the venue. Only one photo per participant allowed. The photos will be judged by a group of photographers and cosplayers. Not only can you win a prize, but the best or funniest ones will be printed (with your permission) and shown at the next Viencon Summer Festival.
You may have seen this Rila cosplayer before at other cons. This mystery cosplayer will be at Viencon Summer Festival. Be sure to snap a pic with the cute bear. The cosplayer will walk around the venue on Saturday (susceptible to change).
